ATHOL, MA — Police are investigating a physical altercation involving several individuals that occurred overnight near a local establishment.
The Athol Police Department released a statement Friday addressing misinformation circulating on social media about the incident.
Police confirmed officers responded to the altercation but said there was no stabbing associated with the incident, contrary to reports being shared online.
The matter remains under active investigation.
