PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested three people in separate incidents early Sunday and late Saturday.
At 3:42 p.m., troopers arrested Jermone Hodge, 38, of East Providence, on charges of domestic simple assault, failure to relinquish a telephone and domestic disorderly conduct.
The arrest followed troopers responding to an E-911 call for a rolling domestic incident on Route 195 in East Providence and a subsequent investigation.
Hodge was later located in Providence, taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and arraigned before a justice of the peace.
He was released with a future Sixth District Court date.
At 2:41 a.m., troopers arrested Paola Gonzalez, 29, of Rumford, on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, blood alcohol content unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Branch Avenue in Providence.
Gonzalez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released to a responsible adult pending a future Sixth Division District Court date.
At 2:52 a.m., troopers arrested Santiago Garcia, 38, of Norwich, Connecticut, on a charge of driving under the influence, blood alcohol content .10 to .15, first offense.
Garcia recorded blood alcohol content readings of 0.149 and 0.146.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Douglas Avenue in Providence.
Garcia was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released to a responsible adult pending a future Sixth Division District Court date.
