Pedestrian struck by vehicle in North Tonawanda

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Robinson Street and Vandervoort Street.

Officers from the North Tonawanda Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 4:05 a.m. on May 13.

Initial investigation determined that the pedestrian was struck while crossing Robinson Street.

The pedestrian was transported to ECMC, where she remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The scene was processed by the NTPD Accident Investigation Team, and the investigation is ongoing.

The victim’s name will not be released at this time pending notification to family.

North Tonawanda Police were assisted on scene by the North Tonawanda Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance.
