SAYREVILLE, NJ — A man was arrested after allegedly blocking a school bus and shouting at the driver during a dispute over a child attempting to board at an improper stop.
The Sayreville Police Department received reports of an altercation between a parent and a school bus driver at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Solook Drive at approximately 8:41 a.m.
Officers arrived to find Roshan Howington, 31, of Sayreville, standing in front of a school bus containing several children.
Police said the dispute began when the bus driver denied entry to a child attempting to board at an improper stop.
Howington allegedly began shouting at the driver and obstructed the bus from proceeding, according to police.
Howington was arrested and charged with interference with transportation, obstruction of the administration of law or other governmental function, and assault.
No passengers on the bus were injured, and the bus continued its route to school.
