WEST GREENWICH, R.I. — A Providence man was arrested early Tuesday on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on Route 95 North.
Wackneer Aguilar Gil, 32, of Providence, was taken into custody at 1:58 a.m. May 12, 2026.
He was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by the State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit.
Gil faces charges of obstructing an officer in execution of duty and giving false documentation to a public official.
The arrest resulted from an investigation by Commercial Enforcement Unit troopers.
Gil was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was released with a future Fourth Division District Court arraignment date.
