PITTSFIELD, MA — Two 13-year-old juveniles were injured in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of North Street and Pontoosuc Avenue on Thursday morning.
Police responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m. and found two e-dirt bikes and another motor vehicle involved in the collision.
The investigation determined the two juveniles were operating the dirt bikes on the wrong side of the roadway, according to police.
Witnesses reported seeing the juveniles swerving in and out of traffic prior to the crash.
Neither juvenile possessed a valid driver’s license, and the bikes were not insured or registered, police said.
The e-dirt bikes were seized and secured at the Pittsfield Police Department.
Police said they have seized numerous similar bikes in recent days and issued citations and criminal complaints for various violations.
