AUBURN, NY — Police arrested a man accused of violating an order of protection at a gas station.
An Auburn Police officer was conducting a follow-up investigation at the Speedway gas station at 68 North Street on May 4 when she observed Shautee Brown enter the store and speak with an employee at the cash register.
The officer later confirmed Brown had a full stay away order of protection involving the employee.
Brown had been previously ordered by a judge to stay away from the victim, her residence and her place of employment.
Brown was arrested May 7 at the Chapel House at 36 Franklin Street.
Due to his domestic violence history, Brown was charged with two additional felony charges.
Brown was transported to the Auburn Police Department, processed and lodged at Cayuga County Jail after arraignment.
Shautee M. Brown, 35, of Auburn, was charged with aggravated criminal contempt in the first degree, a class D felony; aggravated family offense, a class E felony; and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
