LEWISTON, ME — A 21-year-old man has been charged with multiple felonies following a shooting incident that occurred May 10, 2026.
The Lewiston Police Department responded to the area of Ash Street and Howe Street at approximately 3 p.m. for a report of gunfire.
Officers located numerous shell casings upon arrival.
Witnesses reported that two groups of teens and young adults were shooting at one another.
No one was injured during the shooting incident.
Several bullets struck nearby vehicles and buildings.
Police have charged Jayden Shaw, 21, of Lewiston, with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and aggravated criminal mischief.
The investigation remains active, and additional suspects are being sought.
