EVERETT, MA — Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Main Street.
A masked man armed with a knife entered the store at 82 Main Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. on April 21 and fled on foot after the robbery, according to Everett Police Chief Paul D. Strong.
The Everett Police IMPACT Unit conducted an investigation that included canvassing the area and reviewing hours of video surveillance footage.
Arrest warrants were obtained for two suspects, who were subsequently located and arrested by Boston Police.
Richard Burns, formerly of Wakefield, will be charged with robbery, armed and masked; assault to rob, armed; and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Corey Roy of Boston will be charged with accessory after the fact to robbery, armed and masked.
Officer Richard Martignetti led the investigation with his partner Officer Sean Fitzpatrick, according to Strong.
Martignetti obtained surveillance footage from the surrounding area, including MBTA bus and train surveillance, that led to images of the suspects, Strong said.
The officers used contacts at Boston Police Department to identify and apprehend the suspects.
