Woman arrested on drug charges in Wilton

WILTON, NY — State Police responded to a report of an unresponsive driver in a running vehicle in the area of State Route 50 at about 3:42 a.m. April 29.

Troopers identified the driver as Karen M. Rose, 41, of Saratoga Springs.

Rose was found to be in possession of a glass smoking device containing drug residue and other controlled substances.

Rose was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and three counts of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd.

She was transported to State Police Wilton for processing where she refused to be evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert or to provide a sample to determine the drug content of her blood.

Further investigation discovered Rose has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten days.

Rose was arraigned at the Wilton Town Court where she was released on her own recognizance.

HARTFORD, NY — State Police of Granville responded to a one-car collision off the roadway of Rowe Hill Road at about 9:16 p.m. April 29.

The driver was identified as Daniel G. Francisco, 34, of Granville.

Francisco was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Granville for processing where he recorded a 0.18% BAC.

Francisco was issued tickets returnable to the Hartford Town Court on May 14 and released to a sober third party.

JOHNSTOWN, NY — State Police of Fonda stopped a vehicle on South Comrie at about 12:01 a.m. April 3 for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Tyler L. Cranker, 29, of Fultonville.

Cranker was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Fonda for processing where he recorded a 0.24% BAC.

Cranker was issued tickets returnable to the Johnstown Town Court on June 9 and released to a sober third party.

ALBANY, NY — State Police of New Scotland were conducting a fraudulent plate investigation with assistance of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle Investigators when they approached a driver of a vehicle stopped on Central Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. May 3.

The driver was identified as Jordon Sierra, 22, of Albany and a child under the age of 16 was located in the vehicle.

The plate displayed on the vehicle was determined to not match the vehicle and was seized.

Sierra was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Guilderland for processing where he recorded a 0.09% BAC.

Sierra was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on June 8 and released to a sober third party.

COLONIE, NY — State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Interstate 87 at about 8:58 p.m. May 4 for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Matthew Martin, 53, of West Sand Lake.

Martin was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.19% BAC.

Martin was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on June 1 and released to a sober third party.
