Man arrested on burglary charge in Rye Brook

RYE BROOK, NY — Police have arrested a man in connection with a commercial burglary that netted approximately $15,000 worth of electronics.

The Rye Brook Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at an office located at 800 Westchester Avenue on March 23, 2026.

Officers determined that the theft occurred during the overnight hours.

Following a weeks-long investigation, detectives arrested a 19-year-old Port Chester man on April 21.

He was charged with burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree.

Detectives recovered 19 cell phones, six laptops and numerous other electronic devices believed to have been taken during the incident.

The defendant was arraigned in Rye Town Court and released on an appearance ticket.
