RED HOOK, NY — A man was arrested and charged after allegedly threatening someone with a handgun during a domestic dispute.
Red Hook police responded to a report of a past domestic dispute involving a firearm at approximately 11:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the suspect displayed and threatened to use a handgun against the victim during a dispute.
Officers located the suspect at a residence in the village at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday.
Jesus Torres, 57, of Red Hook, was taken into custody without incident.
Torres was charged with menacing with a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.
Two handguns were seized from the residence following the investigation.
Torres was arraigned in village court and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.
