BINGHAMTON, NY — Members of the Broome County Special Investigation Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment on Conklin Avenue on Monday, seizing large quantities of narcotics and other items.
Investigators located approximately 228 grams of cocaine, 987 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 37 grams of ketamine, 281 prescription pills, 135 pounds of marijuana, 1,100 THC vapes and 1,000 THC or psilocybin food items at the residence.
Police also seized $2,908 in cash, a 2024 BMW M3, a cryptocurrency wallet, a Rolex watch and numerous items used to weigh and package narcotics.
Martin Kopacz, 24, of Binghamton, and Jemma R. Thomas, 22, of Binghamton, were arrested and transported to the Binghamton Police Department to be processed.
Both were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, 11 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, two counts of criminal possession of cannabis in the first degree and two counts of criminal using of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
