NEW LONDON, CT — The New London Police Department arrested a man following a weapons-related call and foot pursuit Tuesday evening.
Police responded to the area of Bank Street and Golden Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. May 5.
Officers were informed that a male subject had threatened an individual with a firearm following an altercation.
Through investigation, officers identified the male subject and determined his possible location.
Upon officers attempting to make contact with the suspect, identified as Kendall Fluker, 22, of New London, Fluker engaged officers in a foot pursuit.
While fleeing from police, Fluker attempted to discard a firearm.
The modified firearm was subsequently located and seized upon Fluker’s apprehension.
Fluker was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint in the second degree, possession of machine gun in commission of violent crime, criminal possession of a firearm by convicted felon, criminal possession of ammunition and possession of a large capacity magazine.
