WEST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, PA — A 31-year-old man was arrested after police say he was found in possession of brass knuckles and marijuana during a traffic stop.
Zamir L. Lloyd, of Coatesville, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. April 21 in the 800 block of Village Road.
A West Lampeter Township police officer conducting proactive patrol observed a black Mercedes drive past road closed signs and into a work area, according to police.
The officer stopped the vehicle for the traffic violation and identified Lloyd as the driver.
During the stop, Lloyd was found to be in possession of brass knuckles, marijuana hidden in a can with a false bottom, and paraphernalia associated with the use and possession of marijuana, police said.
Lloyd was taken to the West Lampeter Township Police Department where he was booked.
He was charged with prohibited offensive weapon, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obedience to traffic control devices warning of hazardous conditions.
Lloyd is awaiting his preliminary hearing before District Justice Benner.
