ROCHESTER, NY — Two police officers were injured after a stolen vehicle pursuit ended in a serious collision on May 3, 2026.
Greece Police officers received a license plate reader alert for a stolen vehicle traveling on West Ridge Road at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Officers located the vehicle in a nearby plaza and attempted a traffic stop.
The driver failed to comply and fled, leading officers on a pursuit into the City of Rochester.
A collision occurred on Mt. Read Boulevard at Lexington Avenue.
Two officers were injured and transported to a local hospital, where they are in stable condition.
The suspect is in custody and receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the crash.
Charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
