Two arrested for theft at Ames Plaza in Horseheads

HORSEHEADS, NY — Two men were arrested on May 1, 2026, and charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools in connection with a theft at Ames Plaza.

Donovan A. Davis, 41, of Horseheads, was charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools, both class A misdemeanors.

Steven A. Root, 34, of Veteran, was charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools, both class A misdemeanors.

Both men were issued appearance tickets to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

In a separate incident, Sierra L. Hoffman, 30, of Elmira, was arrested on April 30, 2026, and charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, for stealing from Wal-Mart in the town of Horseheads.

Hoffman was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.
