RUTLAND, MA — A pickup truck became engulfed in flames in a parking lot on Wachusett Street on April 28.
The driver, a Rutland man, was operating a Chevrolet Silverado when he noticed a strong odor and unusual heat coming from the dashboard area.
He pulled into the Rail Trail parking lot moments before the vehicle became completely engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported.
Rutland police officers assisted with traffic control while the Rutland Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
