WARRINGTON, PA — Police have charged a woman with retail theft after an investigation into two separate incidents at a local grocery store.
Deneatra Blackston, 54, of Philadelphia, faces charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property.
Warrington Police responded to Aldi on Easton Road on Dec. 31 for a report of retail theft.
Loss prevention reported that a woman selected numerous items and proceeded to the self-checkout, where she scanned some merchandise but intentionally failed to scan $92.90 worth of items before exiting the store.
Investigation revealed the same woman had committed a similar theft at the store on Dec. 21, during which she failed to scan $161.41 worth of merchandise.
Police later identified Blackston as the suspect.
A criminal complaint was filed through District Court.
Blackston waived her preliminary hearing on April 6.
