Human remains found in Clairton

CLAIRTON, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating after human remains were discovered in a residence late Sunday night.

County 9-1-1 was notified shortly after 11 p.m. April 27 of the discovery in the 400 block of 5th Street.

First responders found the remains of an adult male inside the residence.

Preliminary findings showed no obvious signs of foul play.

The investigation is ongoing pending formal identification and cause and manner of death results from the medical examiner’s office.
