Vehicle fire spreads to McDonald’s in Randolph

RANDOLPH, VT — A vehicle fire in a McDonald’s drive-through spread to the restaurant on April 27, 2026, forcing customers and employees to evacuate.

The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. at the McDonald’s located at 1869 Vermont Route 66.

The vehicle’s operator was able to exit before the car became fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the proximity of the vehicle to the building, a small portion of the restaurant caught fire.

Numerous fire departments responded and quickly extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The McDonald’s will remain closed until further notice.
