BARTONSVILLE, PA — A 58-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and speeding on Bartonsville Ave on the night of April 17.
Police said an officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area after receiving complaints about vehicles exceeding posted limits.
At approximately 8:54 p.m., the officer stopped a vehicle driven by Gene Brooks of East Stroudsburg for traveling 58 mph in a 30 mph zone.
During the stop, police determined Brooks was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Brooks was taken into custody, and all charges are pending.
