SOUTH COATESVILLE, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information in the unsolved homicide of Carnell “Poppy” Hooper.
An unknown suspect entered Hooper’s residence at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, 1999.
Hooper struggled with the suspect and was shot during the altercation, resulting in his death.
The incident occurred in South Coatesville Borough in Chester County.
The Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville Criminal Investigation Unit and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit are continuing the investigation.
A $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest is being offered by PSP Tips.
