PORT VUE, PA — Police are warning residents about a fraudulent caller impersonating a department sergeant.
The Port Vue Police Department said someone using the phone number (412) 906-8083 is claiming to be Sergeant Kevin Atkins.
Officials said the calls are fraudulent and residents should not respond or leave voicemails at that number.
The legitimate phone number for the Port Vue Police Department is (412) 672-2255.
Police are asking residents to report any suspicious phone numbers or calls to the department.
Officials said the Port Vue Police Department will never request banking or sensitive information over the telephone.
