AURELIUS, NY — A woman was arrested on a warrant after authorities say she gave a false name during a traffic stop.
Shannon L. Nobles, 42, of Locke, was arrested April 16 at 6:13 p.m. on a charge of second-degree criminal impersonation, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Clark Street Road near Turnpike Road extension in the town of Aurelius on April 4 at approximately 6:40 p.m.
During the stop, Nobles stated she did not have her driver’s license and provided the deputy with the name and birthday of another individual, according to the sheriff’s office.
It was later discovered that Nobles provided false information, and the deputy applied for a warrant.
The warrant was executed April 16, and Nobles was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, as well as traffic tickets for speed and aggravated unlicensed operation due to having a suspended driver’s license.
Nobles was brought to CAP Court, where she was released on her own recognizance and ordered to appear in Aurelius Town Court on April 22 at 7 p.m.
