Man charged with retail theft in Tannersville

TANNERSVILLE, PA — A 44-year-old Pennsylvania man faces theft charges following an incident at a grocery store on April 13, 2026.

Officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the Weis Markets on Route 611 for a report of retail theft.

An investigation revealed that Tavares Mcqueen allegedly stole $154.38 in miscellaneous merchandise without paying or permission to do so.

Mcqueen was charged with one count of retail theft and one count of receiving stolen property, both misdemeanors.
