HANCOCK, NY — A Deposit woman faces multiple charges following a traffic stop Friday in the Village of Hancock.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies were patrolling on East Front Street when they observed a truck with no inspection certificate displayed on the front windshield, according to Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Caitlyn Kennard, 28, of Deposit.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested and charged Kennard with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operator in the third degree and knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended, all misdemeanors.
Kennard was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Additionally, Kennard was issued traffic summonses for improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, operating without insurance, no/inadequate front windshield and unlicensed operator.
Kennard was released on appearance tickets and traffic summonses and was directed to appear in the Village of Hancock Court at a later date.
