LISBON, NY — New York State Police charged two Massena residents with drug possession following a single-vehicle crash on April 15, 2026.

Emily A. Snyder, 34, of Massena, and Ted C. Krywanczyk, 56, of Massena, each face five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

Troopers responded to State Route 37 in the town of Lisbon at approximately 3:25 p.m. for a property damage accident.

An investigation determined that Snyder was operating a 2020 Chevrolet when she lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway.

Krywanczyk was identified as the passenger.

Neither individual was injured.

Further investigation revealed that Snyder had an active warrant out of SP Canton.

She was detained at the scene.

Troopers conducted an inventory of the vehicle.

During the inventory, drug paraphernalia containing cocaine was located inside.

Both individuals were taken into custody.

Snyder and Krywanczyk were transported to SP Ogdensburg for processing.

They were each issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Lisbon Court at a later date in May.

Snyder was subsequently processed in reference to the outstanding warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on Aug. 2, 2025.

On that date at approximately 3:56 p.m., troopers responded to Walmart on U.S. Highway 11 in the town of Potsdam for a larceny complaint.

An investigation determined that an individual entered the store and stole merchandise valued at $635.44, passing all points of sale without paying.

When approached by Walmart asset protection, she provided a fake receipt.

Snyder was later identified, and multiple attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued by the Town of Potsdam Court.

Snyder was charged with Petit Larceny, Conspiracy in the sixth degree, and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the third degree.

She was arraigned in the Town of Canton Court and released on her own recognizance.
