FULTON, NY — A Sterling man faces multiple charges after a victim reported being held against their will for an extended period of time.
Andrew P. Clark, 43, of Sterling, was arrested April 12 following an investigation by the Fulton Police Department.
The victim came to the police department that day and reported they had been held against their will, according to Sgt. David Hall of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Officers initiated an investigation and developed information that led to a search warrant being issued for Clark’s residence.
Clark was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with kidnapping in the second degree, a class B felony; strangulation in the second degree, a class D felony; unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; aggravated harassment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Clark was arraigned in CAP Court on April 13 and is being held on $50,000 cash bail.
