WARWICK, RI — Police are notifying the public about a high-risk sex offender residing in the city.
Christopher R. Robalewski, 46, of Warwick, is living in the area of 36 Jefferson Blvd., according to the Warwick Police Department.
Robalewski was convicted in 2000 of first-degree sexual assault involving a 17-year-old female he knew, police said.
He was also convicted in 2013 of failure to register as a sex offender.
His probation expired on Jan. 17, 2018, but he is subject to lifetime registration requirements.
The Sex Offender Board of Review classified Robalewski as a Level III offender, indicating he poses a high risk to reoffend.
Police said Robalewski has served his court-imposed sentence and is not wanted at this time.
The notification was issued under the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Community Notification Act.
Police warned that threatening, intimidating or harassing registered sex offenders is not tolerated and may be a crime.
Anyone with information about current criminal activity should call 911.
