Police seek man for questioning in shooting in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a Newark man wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting investigation.

Kisaan Clinton, 24, of Newark, is being sought by detectives investigating a shooting that occurred Friday evening.

Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 8:35 p.m. in the 200 block of South Orange Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located one shell casing and secured the scene.

Clinton is described as a Black male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. urges anyone with information on Clinton’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
