LINDEN, NJ — Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night in the 1000 block of Summit Terrace.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at about 9 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they were met by several people running from the area.
Officers located a vehicle that was damaged in the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
Detectives do not believe this was a random act of violence, and there is no specific threat to the general public at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
