WEST GREENWICH, RI — A New York man was arrested on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop on Route 95 North on Wednesday.
Daniel Richiez, 32, of Bronx, New York, was taken into custody at 2:22 p.m.
He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
Richiez was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was released to the custody of a responsible adult pending a future arraignment at Third Division District Court.
In a separate incident, a Connecticut man was arrested following a crash on Route 95 North in Exeter on Wednesday.
Calvin Kilgore, 21, of Norwich, Connecticut, was taken into custody at 5:15 p.m.
He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs resulting in serious bodily injury, first offense, and reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, first offense.
Blood test results are pending.
Kilgore was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Fourth Division District Court.
