HALFMOON, NY — A motorcyclist was arrested early Saturday morning following a crash on Brookwood Road.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 open line call at 2:21 a.m. Saturday.

Edward A. DiPaolo, 36, of Stillwater, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a class E felony, and driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

DiPaolo is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and at a time when his driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay driver responsibility assessment, among other things.

His license had 24 active suspensions, and he allegedly refused the chemical test.

He was also cited for speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.

DiPaolo had reportedly been operating a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling east on Brookwood Road when he lost control of it, struck a signpost and came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the roadway.

No injuries were reported.

DiPaolo was released on appearance tickets at the direction of the Honorable Jennifer Jeram of the Clifton Park Town Court pending proceedings in the Halfmoon Town Court.
