Woman arrested on DUI charge in Westfield

WESTFIELD, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a woman on drunken driving charges after receiving multiple reports of erratic driving April 14.

Police received several calls at 4:45 p.m. reporting a blue Saturn Outlook operating in an unsafe manner traveling north on Route 100 in Lowell and Westfield.

Troopers located the vehicle in the Westfield General Store parking lot.

The operator was identified as Cara Dodge, 32, of Johnson, who was displaying several indicators of impairment, police said.

Dodge was taken into custody and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.

Police said Dodge had active court-ordered conditions of release not to consume alcohol.

Dodge was charged with driving under the influence, negligent operation and violation of conditions of release.

She was released on a citation to appear in Orleans County Superior Court.
