JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested following a domestic dispute on the south side of the city Saturday evening.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to the incident at about 6:30 p.m. April 12, 2026.
Police located Michael S. Cook walking away from the scene.
Officers found the victim in a nearby residence.
Through investigation, police learned that Cook had pushed the victim and then grabbed her by the throat while applying pressure.
Cook was placed into custody without incident and transported to the city jail.
He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
Cook was held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
