NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Meriden man was arrested after allegedly attempting to meet a juvenile for sexual conduct, police said.
Scottie Anthony, 55, of Meriden, was taken into custody on April 13, 2026, after arriving at a designated location, according to the North Haven Police Department.
North Haven Police detectives identified Anthony as seeking to meet a juvenile to engage in sexual conduct and participate in the use of marijuana, police said.
Anthony was transported to the North Haven Police Department following his arrest.
He was charged with enticing a minor, risk of injury to a child, criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the second degree, sale, delivery, or giving of cannabis to a person under twenty-one by a person aged twenty-three or older, and illegal possession of a controlled substance.
The North Haven Police Department urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant regarding their children’s online activity.
Parents are encouraged to maintain open and ongoing conversations with their children about internet safety, monitor online interactions and educate them about the dangers of communicating with unknown individuals, police said.
