WATERVILLE, ME — A New York man wanted on a homicide charge was arrested following a search warrant execution.
David McCadney, 19, of New York, was taken into custody at approximately 11 a.m. April 10 at 439 West River Road.
McCadney was arrested on a fully extraditable warrant out of New York for second-degree homicide relating to multiple gang-related shootings.
Members of the Waterville Police Department, FBI Safe Streets Task Force and NYPD Gun Violence Suppression Division executed the search warrant.
McCadney was charged with fugitive from justice and is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility.
No other charges are expected for McCadney or anyone else involved in the search warrant execution.
Chief William Bonney commended the work of investigators who acted quickly to take the suspect into custody.
“We will not allow the City of Waterville to be a safe haven for these violent criminals,” Bonney said.
