Man arrested on burglary charge in Wilton

WILTON, NY — A Queensbury man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a residence on Heritage Way.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary complaint at 11:29 p.m. on April 2.

David J. Hayes, 36, of Queensbury, was arrested Friday and charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and criminal tampering in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor.

Hayes is accused of knowingly entering and remaining unlawfully in a dwelling with intent to commit a crime.

He also allegedly tampered with property inside the residence with intent to cause substantial inconvenience to the victim.

Hayes was arraigned before the Honorable David R. Towne in Wilton Town Court.

He was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
