Woman charged with aggravated DWI in Red Hook

RED HOOK, NY — A woman was arrested on drunken driving charges after police found her vehicle stopped in the roadway Friday evening.

Red Hook Police patrols were dispatched by DC 911 to the area of Route 9 and Rockefeller Lane at approximately 6:50 p.m. April 10, 2026, for a reported erratic vehicle complaint.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle stopped in the roadway on Rockefeller Lane.

The driver, Eugenia Whiteley, 51, of Tivoli, was interviewed on scene and found to be intoxicated by alcohol.

She was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing.

Upon submitting to a breath test, Whiteley was found to have a .33% blood alcohol content, over four times the legal limit.

She was subsequently charged with aggravated DWI and common law DWI, both misdemeanors, as well as consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, an infraction, and several other vehicle and traffic law violations.

She was processed and released on tickets with a future court date.

After being processed she was transported to a local area hospital.
