NORTH DANSVILLE, NY — A Dansville man faces felony charges following a domestic incident involving a firearm early Friday morning.
Hunter Rauber, 30, of Dansville, was arrested after deputies responded to a residence on Vista Hill Road in the Town of North Dansville at approximately 2:15 a.m. on April 11.
Deputies were dispatched to the location for a reported domestic incident with one individual possibly possessing a firearm.
An investigation revealed that Rauber had been involved in a domestic incident with two other individuals.
During the incident, Rauber allegedly damaged a vehicle and was in possession of a firearm.
Rauber was charged with felony criminal mischief in the third degree and two counts of misdemeanor menacing in the second degree.
He was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Rauber was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of Springwater Justice Johnson.
The judge released Rauber on his own recognizance as the charges do not qualify for bail under the New York State Bail Reform Act.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Rauber at the arraignment, while the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
