ELMIRA, NY — The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man as a fugitive from justice.
Joshua M. Chapman, of Elmira, was arrested on a warrant from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania for default in required appearance, in violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code.
On April 13, the Criminal Investigations Division received the warrant from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office requesting that Chapman, who is currently an incarcerated individual in the Chemung County Jail, be held on the warrant.
Chapman was subsequently arrested and processed as a fugitive from justice.
Chapman was arraigned in Chemung County Court and remanded to Chemung County Jail, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
