Man arrested on DUI charge in Brookline

BROOKLINE, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 71-year-old man on a second DUI charge after he was found passed out near his vehicle on Grassy Brook Road.

Troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to a report of an intoxicated man passed out near his vehicle at approximately 3:18 p.m. April 13, 2026.

Troopers located the operator in the area of Grassy Brook Road and identified him as Vladimir Zavadil, 71, of Brookline.

While interacting with Zavadil, troopers detected indicators of impairment.

Zavadil was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

Zavadil was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division on May 5, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.
