ROTTERDAM, NY — A man was shot in the hand early Sunday morning in the Town of Rotterdam.
Rotterdam Police were called to the area of 2541 Guilderland Ave. at approximately 2:23 a.m. April 11, 2026.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the hand.
The victim was treated on scene and transported to Albany Medical Center for further medical attention.
Rotterdam Police patrol division and detectives, with assistance from Schenectady Police Department, processed the crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
Detectives are currently following leads and urge anyone with information to contact the Rotterdam Police Department at (518) 355-7331 ext. 7121.
Police said there is no threat to the general public as the incident is believed to be isolated.
