STROUDSBURG, PA — A 51-year-old man was arrested Saturday on charges including terroristic threats and simple assault.
William Rittenhouse, of Stroudsburg, was taken into custody by the Stroud Area Regional Police at 2:17 p.m. on Scott Street.
Police said a complainant came to police headquarters Thursday at 10:02 a.m. to report being threatened.
The victim reported that Rittenhouse threatened her via text messages that started April 1 and continued through April 8, according to police.
An arrest warrant was issued Friday by Magisterial District Judge Johnson.
Rittenhouse was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
He is also charged with harassment.
