Man charged with robbery in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — Officers from the Allentown Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 2nd and Linden streets for a report of shots fired at approximately 11:29 a.m. Thursday.

Two males were initially detained.

Through the course of the investigation, conducted by the Criminal Investigations Division, it was determined that the defendant attempted to rob the victim at knife point of U.S. currency.

The victim fired a single shot to stop the attempted robbery.

Jonathan Mark Brown, 38, of Allentown, was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats.
