PALMYRA, NY — Police responded to a disturbance at a short-term rental on East Charlotte Avenue on April 9, 2026.
The Palmyra Police Department was dispatched to the residence after several individuals refused to leave when asked by the homeowners.
The home was rented for approximately 15 individuals, but attendance grew to nearly double that number.
Some individuals became hostile and made threats to damage the property.
The Palmyra Police Department requested assistance from the Macedon Police Department and the New York State Police after observing the number of individuals on scene.
A 911 call was made before any damage occurred.
All parties dispersed upon police arrival and the situation was resolved without further incident.
The property owner was unaware of the larger gathering.
