Man arrested on child sex abuse charges in Worcester

WORCESTER, NY — A 46-year-old man faces multiple charges following an investigation into alleged persistent abuse of minors in Otsego County.

Lloyd I. Davis, of Worcester, was arrested April 8, 2026, and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation revealed Davis allegedly subjected minors to extensive physical and sexual abuse over several years.

Davis was located in the Town of Worcester and taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

A search warrant was executed at his residence and evidence was secured, authorities said.

Additional search warrants were executed at a location in the Town of Maryland where additional evidence was located, the sheriff’s office said.

Davis was processed at the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office and arraigned in Centralized Arraignment.

He was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility without bail.

Davis is scheduled to appear in Town of Maryland Court and Town of Worcester Court.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Otsego County Child Advocacy Center.
