14-year-old charged with robbery in Dorchester

BOSTON, MA — A 14-year-old male has been charged with unarmed robbery following an incident in Dorchester on Wednesday.

Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a radio call in the area of 42 Charles Street at about 7:07 p.m. on April 8, 2026.

The victims told officers they were walking on Park Street towards Charles Street when they were assaulted and robbed of a cell phone.

Three suspects approached the victims from behind and punched one of the victims in the back of the head.

The suspects grabbed one of the victim’s phones and fled towards Dorchester Avenue.

Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported one of the victims to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, C-11 Detectives disseminated a picture of potential suspects.

At about 7:42 p.m., officers located two individuals who matched the description of the suspects from the earlier incident.

The 14-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.

The second individual was promptly released.
