Man arrested on DWI charge in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH, NY — A man was arrested on multiple charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

Brandon C. Gaine, 28, of Plattsburgh, was taken into custody at 2:27 a.m. April 7, 2026, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies observed a vehicle operating in a reckless manner in the Skyway Plaza in the city of Plattsburgh.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Gaine was allegedly operating his motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.18%, driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operator in the third degree, unlicensed operator, unregistered motor vehicle, unsafe start, operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and uninspected motor vehicle.

Gaine was processed at the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

He was issued appearance tickets and released.

Gaine is scheduled to appear in Plattsburgh City Court at a later date.
